IIDA is back in Russia for the second year after the great success of previous 2016 edition.

Sotchi event is the only one to gather on the same period a downhill world cup and a Bobtrack cup part of Beton On Fire circuit.


This year, the downhill track is longer which add more challenge to this already quite technical track which include a 17% average steep.

In the men time trial, Sebastien RASTEGAR get the fastest qualification in front of Nicolas VARIN and Cédric BUXIN. Russian Anton BURENIN get the 4th place.

In the women category, Anna REBOUT (Germany) get the first place in front of Russia Tatyana SPIRIDONOVA.


In Inline Cross discipline, Sebastien RASTEGAR won the race in front of Nicolas Varin who crashed in the second corner and Cedric Buxin.

In the women Inline Cross, Anna REBOUT also won the inline cross in front of Tatyana SPIRIDONOVA.

For the first time in IIDA history, Sotchi also host a “Kids” Inline Cross competition thanks to 4 young russian (1 from Sotchi and 3 from Moscou) who trained especially for the event.


The Kids cross took place on 200m in the last corner for safety reason and a special award ceremony was made for them.

Sotchi Bobtrack is the longest in the world with more than 1,8km track.

Athletes had the opportunity to train two days before the competition and to exchange their feeling about the curves and how to take the good lines.


On Saturday afternoon, this was time for the qualification.

In the men category, Killian BRAUN get the fastest time with 01:22,21 in front of Sebastien RASTEGAR and Cédric BUXIN.
In the women category, Anna REBOUT get the first place (starting from curve 6) in front of Tatyana SPIRIDONOVA.

In the kids category, Timofey KHARITONOV get the first place in front of Mikhail YOROVOY and Tatjana LIANTOVICH.



On the final runs, Kilian BRAUN confirmed his supremacy and get the title in front of Sebastien RASTEGAR and Nicolas VARIN.


In women category, Anna REBOUT get the lead in front of Tatyana SPIRIDONOVA.
