TEOLO WORLD CUP – Séverine CHRIST-THOMAS back in competition and winner of Women time Trial !

Third IIDA World Cup of 2014 season was held In Teolo from 1st to 4Th August.

The organization of Roll Club Padova lead by Professor Sandro Morandin is known for its high level in organization and shows us one more time that they are organizing professional event.

Friday 1st August was dedicated to freeride and riders had the opportunity to have a lot of training runs all day long with more than 20 runs.



The opening ceremony has been runned in the village with torch light downhill followed by parade of nation.

On Saturday 2nd August, the IIDA Time Trial competition has been runned in the afternoon on a warm and sunny weather.

In the men competition, German Moritz Nörl get the fastest time with an impressive 1’51’900 in front local Italian Angelo Vecchi and French Etienne Herreros get the 3rd place.



In the women competition, Severine Christ Thomas was back in downhill after a full year of break and won the time trial in front of german Mira Börsig and Annalenna Rettenberger.

Women category gather more and more riders and we hope to have a real challenge this year in the overall ranking.


A radar also recorded the top speed of each riders during the competition. Moritz Nörl get the fast speed with 79.75km/h followed by French karim Mallis with 77.96km/h and Italian Sandro Bovo with 77.52km/h

Teolo IIDA World Cup also host this year the German downhill championship introduced by German Downhill Technical Referent Udo Nörl.

On Sunday, due to the weather forecast which were predicting rain, the quarter final could have been runned in early afternoon.

The storm arrived just after it and we had to wait until 16:30 so that the road could be almost dry to run the finals.

In the women category, Annalenna Rettenberger won in front of Camilla Brusco.

In the men category, the final gather Moritz Nörl and Tobias Wöhrle from Germany, Angelo Vecchi from Italy and Etienne Herreros from France.


Moritz Nörl took the lead and arrive in the first corner in front of Etienne Herreros who overtaked him on it. In the second corner, Moritz Nörl crashed in the second corner and Angelo Vecchi passed him followed by german Tobias Wöhrle. The inline cross was thus won by Etienne Herreros in front of Angelo Vecchi, Tobias Wöhrle and Moritz Nörl.
